Terms & Conditions

Below are the terms and conditions for participants in the npower Games 2010 (“the Games”).

1.	If, once registered, you are unable to attend the Games you must inform RWE Npower plc ("npower") as soon as possible

2.	a) Only registered participants and volunteers over the age of 16 years old are eligible to take part in the Games.
	b) All participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. npower cannot take responsibility for under 18s on the day.

3.	a) npower maintains the right to use images and photographs taken by its contracted photographers and its employees at the event without informing or recompensing attendees or participants.
	b) These images can be used for any such promotional purposes as undertaken by npower and Macmillan Cancer Support, including but not limited to television broadcasts, publications, marketing material and other documents that may be made available to the public , editorial coverage and any other promotion directly related to npower and Macmillan Cancer Support.
	c) No photographs of children will be taken without written consent of a parent of guardian aged over 18.

4.	a) The Games will be organised following best practice guidelines and health and safety.
	b) For your safety and enjoyment of the Games participants must follow and adhere to the instructions given by the organisers and volunteers.
	c) Please make sure that you: wear the appropriate clothing and footwear; read and obey all signage on site; understand that the referee’s and officials’ word is final.

5.	In the case of an emergency, npower may pass the personal details provided by each participant to the emergency services, health care professionals and for the purposes of contacting individuals’ emergency contacts.

6.	a) The Games involve sustained physical activity. When participants make the decision to take part they must be satisfied that this activity is suitable for them as individuals.
	b) npower cannot be held accountable for aggravation to illness or injury sustained by a participant due to their participation in the Games.
	c) Participants are responsible for their own medical condition. If participants are in any doubt about their physical ability to take part in the Games then they must consult their general practitioner prior to the event.
	d) All participants enter the Games entirely at their own risk and npower and its associated companies shall not be liable for any injury or loss that might occur as a result of their participation, other than as a result of npower’s negligence. and if npower is legally liable.
	e) All spectators at the Games attend entirely at their own risk and npower shall not be liable for any injury or loss that might occur as a result of their attendance, other than where such injury of loss is a result of npower’s negligence. and if npower is legally liable.
	f) Npower will not be liable for any consequential losses howsoever caused.
